How to Configure a JioFi Router: A Step-by-Step Guide


A JioFi router is a portable wireless router that allows you to connect multiple devices to the internet using a single SIM card. It is a convenient and affordable way to stay connected while on the go. In this guide, we will walk you through the process of configuring your JioFi router so that you can start using it right away.

Step 1: Insert the SIM Card

1. Open the back cover of the JioFi router.
2. Locate the SIM card slot.
3. Insert the Jio SIM card into the slot, making sure that the gold contacts are facing down.
4. Close the back cover of the router.

Step 2: Power on the Router

1. Press and hold the power button on the side of the router for a few seconds.
2. The router will turn on and start searching for a network.
3. Once the router has found a network, it will connect to it and start broadcasting a Wi-Fi signal.

Step 3: Connect to the Wi-Fi Network

1. On your device, open the Wi-Fi settings.
2. Select the Wi-Fi network name that starts with “JioFi”.
3. Enter the Wi-Fi password that is printed on the back of the router.
4. Once you have connected to the Wi-Fi network, you will be able to access the internet.

Step 4: Configure the Router’s Settings

1. Open a web browser on your device.
2. In the address bar, type “”.
3. Enter the router’s username and password. The default username is “admin” and the default password is “password”.
4. Once you are logged in, you will be able to configure the router’s settings.
